An estate with an exceptional past can be the place of your wedding. In a large estate at the doorstep of the Alps, natural and cultural heritage reside. You may admire them in a thousand forms of plant and animal life in various environments, uniquely painted apiaries, traditional hay racks, former castle side building and orangery, collections of sculptures and other creations in the open and of course the castle Brdo as the central building of the estate.

The historical buildings were joined by many new ones in the recent years and decades: the Kokra hotel with conference facilities, the spacious restaurant and wellness centre Vrelec Brdo, an equestrian centre, golf practice court, cottage Lake, Duck Island, press centre and in the year 2007 as the last, modern and technically supreme congress centre Brdo.

With all its protocol oriented and marketing facilities, the estates are nowadays managed by the Public Economic Association Protocolary Facilities of the Republic of Slovenia (JGZ Brdo), which, along with Brdo, also takes care of another beautiful location, the renewed castle Strmol.

Wedding Ceremony & Party

Park Brdo represents an exceptional environment for the creation of unforgettable wedding pictures, and with its chosen romantic spots it is becoming ever more recognisable and desired for wedding ceremonies and parties.

In the warm part of the year, you may choose one of the two islands on the park's lakes for the ceremony. In cases of bad weather or outside the summer season, the wedding ceremony is transferred into one of the glass halls of the new congress centre, to the restaurant Zois or for the most intimate weddings, to the Jezero cottage.

Brdo pri Kranju offers many places for the wedding celebration, both in the open as well as indoors, in various buildings. Thus you need not worry if your wedding day is rainy. Simply enjoy the beauty of the Brdo park or Duck Island.
