How far in advance should we plan our Destination Wedding in Slovenia?

We suggest planning no more than 12 months from your departure date, as it may take some time to choose a location and resort. This also allows you, as the host, to provide your guests with sufficient advance notice. Additionally booking in advance may offer travel incentives for early bookings.

How far in advance should invitations be sent for a Destination Wedding in Slovenia?

Proper etiquette dictates that you give guests plenty of advanced notice if you’re planning a destination wedding. This way, they can check their finances, adjust work schedules, and make travel arrangements in a timely fashion. The first step is to send save-the-date cards as soon as you’ve decided to take your celebration afar. Your invitations should then be sent ten to fifteen weeks before the wedding. Include pertinent information, such as flight options, hotel room blocks if any, airport transportation, and a list of activities that may be of interest.

Can trustworthy vendors be found from a distance?

Yes. The best way to find trustworthy vendors is to hire our wedding planner. We are familiar with wedding vendors in Slovenia. We can serve as a liaison between you and your vendors.

Relying on our wedding planner will alleviate much of your planning stress. You can avoid spending hours searching for legitimate vendors and dealing with the complications that may arise when making foreign contracts. By conveying your vision to an in-house coordinator, you can focus on other aspects while he relays your requests to those far-off.

What is destination wedding?

A destination wedding is a wedding in foreign country. A destination wedding can be as large or small as the couple desires. Some couples prefer to celebrate by themselves while others choose to invite as many guests as they would to a traditional wedding at home. A destination wedding is perfect for those with guest lists of all sizes.

What wedding planning services do you offer?

Day-of Coordinator, Full Planning, Partial Planning, Consultation Only.

Do you accept commissions or kickbacks from any vendors?

No. We do not accept any commissions or kickbacks from vendors and will only refer qualified, reputable vendors who will best suit your needs, style, and budget.

What sizes of weddings have you coordinated in the past?

We have coordinated weddings from just the bride and groom only to hundreds of guests.

How much communication will we have?

We have a policy to respond to all emails and phone messages in a timely manner. We will respond to all messages within 24 business hours.

How many weddings or events will you coordinate per day?

Wedding in Slovenia team will only take one wedding or event per day per wedding consultant.

Will you be at my actual wedding day?

Absolutely. The wedding consultant you’ve contracted with will personally be at your event along with at least two assistants if necessary.

How do you dress for our event?

For weddings, all consultants and assistants will wear professional black attire.

Will you eat and drink during the reception and how comfortable will you make yourself?

Since weddings can turn into 10, 12, and even 14 hour days, vendor meals during your reception are much appreciated. However, we are there to do a job and will absolutely not drink any alcohol or join your guests on the dance floor.

What will a Wedding in Slovenia team do for me?

A Wedding in Slovenia team will assist you in all facets of your wedding planning. Similar to that of a wedding held at home, your destination wedding planner will research, manage logistics and budget, liaise with your suppliers/ venue, provide ideas and suggestions, and be on hand to direct all events on your wedding day.

Can we book our travel with you?

As professional wedding planners our main focus is you and your guests, and the creation of your wedding day events. Please note that we are not travel agents. Our past experience has shown that highly detailed tasks such as travel and event planning is best left to the appropriate professional. If you have a travel agent that you would like to work with we will gladly coordinate with them, alternatively you can choose from our preferred list.

Will you organize transportation & excursions for our wedding group?

We are fortunate to have a fantastic list of associates. We will gladly pair your group up with the appropriate agency in Slovenia to handle all of your transportation and group excursion needs.

Will you organize and coordinate the legal requirements for getting married out of country?

Absolutely. As your wedding planner we will investigate all legal marriage requirements and advise you accordingly. This includes specific religious requirements. Please be advised that document translation services may be required in some countries and will be billed as a separate charge.

Is it better to have a legal or symbolic ceremony away?

We will provide all options to you so that you can make an informed decision and do what’s best for you.

What is a site visit and do I need one?

Just like a wedding at home a site visit allows you to evaluate the venue, understand options available, how your guests will be received, and how your wedding will be managed. A site visit should take place prior to signing your wedding venue contract.

We also take a limited amount of destination weddings per year to ensure quality time with our couples.

Every wedding we plan is very different from another; every style and concept is different, so we listen, we create, we are versatile and most of all, we must understand.
